- A complete set of official rules and regulations for this race can be obtained from The Kiwanis Club of Fremont by sending a written request and a self-addressed stamped envelope to the following address: Duck Central/Kiwanis Club of Fremont; P.O. Box 2068; Fremont, CA 94536.
- A donation of $5.00 is requested for each entry. However, no purchase is necessary and any person may, prior to April 15th, request one free entry by mailing a written request for a free entry, accompanied by a completed entry form, to the address indicated above.
- The race will start at the Boat Ramp at Fremont's Lake Elizabeth/Central Park at approximately 1:00PM Saturday, April 26, 2008. Each racing duck will have a number attached corresponding to the number on each entry form. The winning duck entries eligible for prizes will be announced at the conclusion of the race, but the individuals who submitted the winning entries are not required to be present and will be notified by telephone.
- A Chevrolet Duck: One Duck eligible out of each 3,333 ducks entered into the race. If the duck wins the race, the adopter gets the prize of a brand new Chevrolet Malibu.
- Percentage of return from race proceeds may vary depending on the underwriting of expenses by race sponsors.
